Trapezoidal Face

Work on the lower part of your face to make it look prominent. This redefines your facial shape making it appear lesser and lesser trapezoidal.

Hint: Use dark foundation and light makeup at the temple.

Rectangular and Square Face

To overcome the looks of a squarish face, apply dark makeup or foundation at the four corners of your face. This helps in hiding the square face.

Triangular Face

The treatment for a triangular face is simple and is similar to the one that we discussed in the case of trapezoidal face. Dark foundation at the temples will shorten the chin while use lighter shades that can highlight the lower face.

Oval Face

The oval face is regarded as best for makeup but still if you can make the forehead appears shorter it would enhance your beauty.

Round Face

Round face can be transformed to an oval face by using dark makeup at the temples and around the lower face.

How to use a Blusher?

Use good colour in the blusher area. You need to have a very good base for applying makeup in the eye. Use the chosen colour in the chosen area. The perfect area for applying makeup is one that extends from outward corner of your eye and the lower one starts from the bottom of the nose. Smile and lightly touch the blusher brush on the fatty part of the cheek and gently brush the blusher toward the temple, making a slight curve. A good brush across the forehead and on the chin completes the look. The Cream rouge is applied to the cheeks with the fingertips in small amounts and spread in the desired fashion. The powder blusher is applied with a brush.

Makeup Tricks

To look as if you are not wearing any make up

  • To look as if you are not wearing makeup, dip a flat 3-inch square piece of cotton wool in chilled water and squeeze well between the palms of your hands.
  • Very lightly pat the face with it. The cold compression gives a natural look to the face and the makeup stays longer without getting spoiled.
  • This is done before the eye and lip make up and after you have applied the foundation, powder and blusher. It sets the foundation, powder and blusher.
  • If you are in a hurry, just pat your face with a damp towel which you just finished using for your bath.

New look with Old Makeup

  • Brush a dark powder eye shadow onto eyelids and smooth a dab of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on top for a new eye gloss.
  • Instead of investing in a new creamy colour, sweep powder blush on cheeks and top with a tiny drop of liquid glycerine or a rich moisturizer.
  • To have a gloss look lipstick there is no need to junk your old matte lipstick. Vaseline works well on the matte lipstick to give you a glossy finish. You may also apply gloss over your matte lipstick and get that glossy look.
  • To have a trendy nail colour, sprinkle any coloured powder blusher over your shade of enamel as it dries to give a shimmer to your polish.
