Dressing tips to make you feel slim and sexy

The first and foremost thing you must know when it comes to fashion is your body. You must know what kind of attire suits the kind of body you have. The key point about dressing is what kind of dress makes you look slim and tall. The right kind of clothes can even make a fat person look slim. It is just a question of masking your kilos with right kind of dressing.

Here are some tips that can make you look sexy, elegant and simply gorgeous:

  • Dress in a single dark colour. Covered by clothes of black or navy-blue colour can give the impression that you have shed 4-5 KG.
  • If you are fat, skip large patterns like big checked dresses. Small patterns deceive the viewer and ensure a more delicate look.
  • Make it a point not to wear patterns on both top and bottom. That is sure to show you bulkier by 4-5 KG.
  • If you are wearing a skirt, make sure it is of right length. Wear the just-above-the-knee skirts that play off knees and elongate legs. Avoid a midcalf skirt, which draws attention to the widest part of your legs, making them look heavier.
  • Say goodbye to shorts and hello to capris. While shorts make you look bulkier, capris have just the opposite effect. It is particularly true if you stick to dark denim or black and wear ones that aren’t too short or too long. They should end at the least-wide part of your calves, ideally a few inches above the ankle.
  • Wear a sexy tee. V-neck and deep scoop-neck tees elongate the neck and make the torso appear longer by showing off your collarbone.
  • Thin vertical stripes on anything pants, shirts, skirts, dresses create the illusion of a longer, leaner body.
  • Slim down with colour. Hot summer hues like pink and yellow catch the eye and are good for body parts you want to play up. Pair them with black, brown or navy dark colours recede and are best for areas that you’d like to draw the eye away from.
  • A gently flared A-line cut dress is universally flattering and hides large hips.
  • Pick the right jeans. Look for a pair that sits lower on your waist. And go for boot cut the slight flare fits over sandals and will give you longer, lankier legs.
  • Wear your pants on the longer side, so they break over the middle of the foot.
  • Sport three-inch heels. High heels give you a thinner profile and silhouette.
  • If your face is on the full side, wide rectangular frame sunglasses gives you a sleeker look.
