Carom Seeds or more popularly known as Ajwain in Indian subcontinent is a perennial herb belonging to the Apiaceae family. The fruit of this plant is commonly used as spice and more often, wrongly termed as seed. Small and oval shaped fruits of this plant, which often resemble seeds are bitter in taste and quite pungent in flavor. They are used in variety of ways for different food preparation all over Asia. Topical application of Carom Seeds helps reduce the soreness and redness caused by acne or pimples. Moreover, it also has high amount of thymol which is an extremely potent antiseptic and gamma-terpinene which has anti-inflammatory properties. It prevents further infection and reduces inflammation.

For Acne, just grind some carom seeds and mix powder with freshly squeezed lemon juice to make a paste. Dab some paste with a cotton ball on the affected area and wash off after 15 minutes,
